Chris Baeckstom gave an informative presentation at the Schiavo Library on August 31 on the best ways to attract pollinators to your garden, where to purchase native plants, and listed multiple resources to guide you as you plant your own garden. Chris presented photos of established gardens around town that have successfully attracted bees and butterflies and the variety of native plants used. With the help of gardeners Chris Baeckstrom, David Cummings, Rose Rhine, and Marian Rossi, the Schiavo Library is the first of many community gardens planned and it is already thriving!
